Hello my name is Kaytlin! I am a certified doula more specifically a community based doula. I am also a part time community based doula through the nonprofit organization that certified me which is Tulsa Birth Equity Initiative. Fancy seeing you here. I embarked on my doula journey after having a series of disappointments with my OBGYN, I wasn’t a fan of interventions, unnecessary inductions and 3 minute appointments with my provider which left me feeling anxious about my birthing journey. Everyday in my pregnancy I was researching about birth, breathing strategies, hypnobirthing, and various elements regarding pregnancy and how to have a peaceful birth. I knew my journey didn’t have to be fearful like they show in the movies. Which ultimately led me to switching to a midwife and a water birth at 36 weeks. The birth of my daughter was absolutely ethereal and I became inspired. I aim to help women have that peaceful birth. I aim to be that friend, support, advocate, and person in your corner. Whatever your birthing experience looks like whether that’s in a backyard, bathtub in your house, or a hospital I am here with you and for you. I will help you embark on your birthing journey gently through breathing exercises, relaxation techniques and aromatherapy. Please get in touch to set up a FREE initial consultation. I look forward to making a new friend. ☀️

Prenatal visits are vital to building our relationship. They also are key for preparing your body, spirit and mind for birth. We will spend time creating your birth plan, getting to know each other, exercising, practicing breathing techniques and meditation, reading various materials and positive affirmations along with maybe even baking some cookies one day, taking the kids to the park, going to lunch along with me meeting your family and other members of your support team.

With my birthing guidance, I can help guide breathing, provide counter pressure, gentle massage, encouragement, and help guide your partner and family as they support you as well. I love utilizing various techniques such as rebozo, warm/cold compresses, massages, and a ton of active labor body positions. I offer unwavering support to you and your family before, during, and after birth. I will stay in close contact in order to routinely check how you’re doing and step in with anything you might need.
The first couple days, weeks and months after having your baby earth-side can be exhausting and overwhelming. Postpartum services can vary from person to person based on needs. I can help with light chores and cleaning around the house, watching baby and other kiddos while you rest, meal prepping and being someone you trust that you can to talk to. I will tailor your postpartum support based on your specific needs. We will discuss what this looks like in depth in a consultation and over the course of our time together.
